Overview
Led the end-to-end user experience design, development support, and usability testing of the official Smart Car app. The project was delivered from Computer Rock’s Hamburg office, with Daimler as the primary client. The app was designed to support Smart electric vehicle users with everyday mobility, connectivity, and remote car access.
 
Responsibilities
  • User-Centered Design Leadership
    • Defined information architecture and built clear navigation structures through sitemaps and flows.
    • Identified and prioritised user needs specific to Smart electric car owners via workshops and research.
 
  • Testing & Validation
    • Planned and conducted usability testing sessions to gather insights and iterate on key flows.
    • Captured findings to drive refinements across navigation, onboarding, and feature usage.
      • Team Management
        • Mentored junior designers and distributed tasks within the design studio.
        • Provided strategic UX direction and reviewed UI outputs for consistency and accessibility.
